About
About Art Frenz, Ph.D.
With an early interest in psychology, I entered Brooklyn College with a major in psychology. Throughout college, my interest in psychotherapy deepened and I pursued a doctorate in clinical psychology. I graduated from Brooklyn College with a Bachelors of Science degree in psychology in 1981 and then earned my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Syracuse University in 1990. I completed my pre-doctoral internship in clinical psychology at Dartmouth Medical School in 1990.
Between 1990 and 1992, I worked as a staff psychologist at the Tioga County Mental Health Clinic in Owego, NY. In 1992, I joined a group private practice in Vestal, NY. In 2000, I cofounded a new group private practice, Oakdale Psychology Associates, in Johnson City, NY. I established my current solo private practice in Endicott, NY in 2006. In 2016, I moved my practice to Vestal, NY and in 2018 I began supervising graduate students in the clinical psychology doctoral program at Binghamton University. I live in the Greater Binghamton, NY area with my wife of twenty-seven years.
